How it works

Check first
Whitening only works on healthy teeth, and it will not lighten crowns or fillings. We examine first and tell you honestly what result to expect.

Custom trays
Impressions are taken and trays made to fit only your teeth, so the gel stays off your gums. This is the part shop-bought kits cannot do.

Whitening
You wear the trays at home over a set number of nights, or we treat you in the chair. We show you exactly how much gel to use.

Keeping it
We show you what stains and what does not, and keep your trays for a short top-up later rather than starting again.

Honest answers
Is it safe for my enamel?
Professionally supervised whitening does not damage enamel. The risks come from unregulated products and badly fitting trays that push gel onto the gums, which is exactly what the custom trays prevent.
Will my teeth be sensitive?
Some people get short-lived sensitivity to cold during treatment. It passes once you finish, and we can adjust the strength or spacing if it bothers you.
Why not just use a kit from the shop?
The trays do not fit, so the gel sits on your gums, and the concentration is limited by law to a level that does very little. You often end up paying twice.
Will my fillings and crowns whiten too?
No, and this matters. They stay exactly as they are, so if you have visible ones at the front we will discuss replacing or matching them after whitening.
How long does it last?
Typically one to two years, depending on what you drink and whether you smoke. A short top-up brings it back rather than a full course.
